Oktoberfest in Korea...

Last weekend felt almost identical to the weekend prior. Saturday started with a trip to the gym and then we headed to Yongsan with a stop at Starbucks prior to heading to the hotel to check in before the Oktoberfest activities kicked off. Earlier in the week, I found out that my friend from Fort Sill that now lives in Osan was also in Yongsan for the weekend so we meet up with her and her family for drinks and caught up on how life has been going lately. It is always so wonderful to see a familiar face. I love all of my friends here too! One of Robert's friends Jason rode with us and then we met up with my friend Becky and a couple of her friends. We enjoyed some not so impressive German food; the best thing they offered was the German Chocolate cake that was AMAZING! From what Robert said, the beer was not that great either but he did get a cool beer stein so I guess that was worth it! Hanging out with our friends was a lot of fun and made it all worth it! Sunday for lunch, we tried a new Thai restaurant that was wonderful and then we headed back after another stop at Starbucks.

It was a short weekend since the past couple of weekends Robert has had four-day weekends but this weekend he has a three-day weekend and he is off on Wednesday for the Korean holiday Chuseok. We decided it was a good weekend to relax and hang out around the house. Beginning on Tuesday Koreans will begin to travel to their families homes to celebrate the holiday. The weather has been wonderful the past week and today (Sunday) is the first day in over a week that it has rained, so I am hoping we are coming to the end of the monsoon season. Last week I signed my final paperwork to start substitute teaching, so hopefully I will get to start working within in the next few weeks. I was very excited for my stroller fit class this past Friday we had record attendance of six enthusiastic moms anxious to get in shape. I am hoping that attendance will continue to increase since the weather is starting to cool off. I hope everyone is doing well!

Homemade whole wheat pie crust and it was wonderful!

Mia and her Vera Bradly bandana that my friend Tori made for her!

Licking her chops since I am holding a treat and trying to get her to sit still long enough for me to get a good picture!
