Our Life and a Wonderful Weekend...

Last week flew by and the next thing I knew it was Friday and the beginning of another long weekend for Robert. It has been wonderful being able to spend time out and about and still have time to relax at home. This past weekend started out with a Labor Day celebration on post. There were carnival games, rides, a petting zoo, food vendors, and in addition, there was a US Army and Republic of Korea (ROK) Army weapons on display and US Army tactical vehicles on display. It was a great opportunity to handle some of the same weapons that the Army utilizes while also being able get up close and personal with some of the vehicles that I see driving around post on a daily basis. My friend Tori and I decided to go check it all out since her husband was working at the event and Robert had to work late. Saturday, in preparation for next Saturdays team triathlon, I got up early and went for a 30-mile bike ride. I will only have to ride a little over 18 miles for the triathlon. It was wonderful to be out and enjoy the peace and quiet of a beautiful and cool morning. Sunday brought more rain but it was more like torrential downpour. We hung out around the house and caught up on a little rest and relaxation.
