We are getting very excited about coming home very soon! Robert has been working his tail off trying to get all the inventories completed. He has been working early mornings, late evenings, and weekends so this is going to be a much-needed break for him. I on the other hand have been teaching more classes, working out, cooking and baking, substitute teaching occasionally, and trying to keep up with my daily routine around the house. One of the other spin instructors recently left which has taken us down to two instructors and six classes to teach during the week! I have been able to get a lot of time on the bike and loving it!
A couple of weekends ago, while Robert went to work, I ran in a 5k race here and did pretty decent considering the course had several big hills and ended up with a medal and a nice drifit long sleeve shirt. With Robert working here lately our weekends have been rather low key. Then the next morning my beloved OSU Cowboys played that other team Texas Tech at 4:30 AM our time and it was not televised on our satellite so I had to resort to watching the game from bed on my iPod through the ESPN website and OSU won! We will not talk about the Dallas Cowboys (argh!). Then there is the Texas Rangers, amazing and so exciting to see them win! Robert and I were able to watch the end of the game before we had to leave for a wedding.
This past Saturday, Robert and I had the privilege of attending one of our friends, nontraditional Korean wedding. A guy, whom Robert has worked with, is married to a Korean. They did an American wedding but her family wanted a Korean wedding so they did it this past weekend. Here in Korea weddings are a big deal, so much that some of them can be like small productions where everything is choreographed. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were not able to make it there for the ceremony but when we arrived, they were in the process of taking pictures and the wedding hall was beautiful. Instead of traditional rows of chairs, guests are seated at small tables each with a flower arrangement on them. After the pictures were completed, we went to another floor to enjoy the reception, which was an amazing Korean buffet. The bride and groom came through in their traditional Korean attire so I was able to capture a couple of pictures of them. It was a great experience and we were able to see some friends whom we have not seen in a while. Granted the hour and a half train ride either way was not the highlight of the trip it was still fun to get dressed up! Robert cleaned up nicely in his new custom-made suite that he bought here.
Below I have included pictures from various things around here. One day Robert wanted me to take some pictures of his bike and another day Tori, Mia and me all went for a walk and captured some of the beauties of this fall, plus the wedding, and a few others! Enjoy and we cannot wait to see everyone soon!
