It is the little things in life...

Whew life has been busy since my last post! I am very thankful that I have managed to stay very busy no to catch up on everything that has been going on! As some of you might already know prior to us getting here I had been talking to the Fitness Coordinator about teaching some classes and personal training. She finally came back from being gone for the holidays so we were able to chat about some options. This coming weekend we have an Xtreme Boot camp that is going to be taking place and I will be leading a circuit class, the first weekend in Feb I am getting my Group Instruction and Spin Instructor Certifications, the second week in Feb I will begin teaching the Kid Fit class which is a class to get preschoolers out and active and lastly as soon as the personal training program gets up and running I will also be personal training!! So if anyone ever wonders what I am up to I am probably at the gym!! Most of my time from now till Feb will be spent studying for the Group Instruction Certification; it is mostly the same information from my personal training so this is a great refresher!

This past Sunday Robert and I visited an English speaking Korean Church. It was a small congregation of about 15 and a traditional service. I will not be around this weekend for us to go back but we are hoping to go back again next weekend. This coming Wednesday I am going to a pot luck for a woman's bible study so that will be a nice opportunity to meet more people.

This past Monday Robert took me out to celebrate that I have a job and will be working a little! We went to the cutest French restaurant in New City. When the elevator doors opened everything was white with bright pink awnings on everything. They then asked us if was going to be the two of us and we said yes. Then the waiter led us down a little hall full of double sliding doors. He opened up one set of them and there was a table in the center with tow very nicely upholstered love seats on either side of the table. He gave us our menus and closed the doors. Then to my left we had a beautiful view out the window of the city below. Well the food wasn't the greatest and it wasn't French either but it was a fun experience. It would be the perfect place to go for a cup of coffee and a piece of their cake that looked AMAZING! It would be the first place that I have ever seen where the dessert is cheaper than the coffee or tea! I would love to show you pictures but shame on me I forgot to take my little camera with me!

On Tuesday our first shipment of our belongings arrived! They were scheduled to be here any time between 1-5 pm. Also, we had recently rented a satellite so that we can be a little more connected to the states with the Armed Forces Network (they show sports, news, movies, etc) well the night before Robert and I made an attempt to set it up ourselves but we couldn't get a signal to save our lives and it was freezing cold outside! So earlier Tuesday morning I scheduled someone to come and install it for us and they were going to come at 2pm. Well guess what everyone showed up a little bit after 1! Needless to say it was a mad house for about an hour and a half plus the movers wanted us to unpack everything to make sure nothing was broken plus they were going to take the boxes and paper away for us so I have never unpacked so quickly in my life!! Movers opened a box for me, I dig through it to check everything, and then they would move it to which ever room it belonged in! It was preparing me for our big shipment which should arrive in a couple of weeks! I have pictures to post but Robert took my camera to work yesterday and it is still there so pictures will come later! Our TV is now sitting on a tuff box and in our office I am using a tuff box as my desk with a Rubbermaid tote as my chair. Oh the joys of moving! Today I was able to enjoy coffee from my coffee maker and eating breakfast out of our dishes instead of plastic bowls! Oh the things that we take for granted especially with all the devastation in Haiti, I am even more thankful for everything that God has provided us with, especially that my husband has a job and we have a roof over our head.

  1. amen sister. You should go back to that French restaurant and take pictures. What is Korea's response to Haiti?
