Month of March Recap...

Life is good and the time is flying by! When Robert and I are talking in terms of trips that we want to take while in Korea it seems there is not enough time to get them all in. Now with all that is going on in Japan it does not look like we will be making that trip, which breaks my heart. For those of you who do not know, Japan has a very special place in my heart. I lived there one summer and fell in love and Robert has been hearing about Japan and my love for this country from day one when we met!

The first weekend in March, I had to go to Osan for some training for work and Robert had a friend coming in to visit that weekend so I thought it would be a good time for me to spend some time with my friend Nicole. Mia and I loaded up and headed to Osan. Mia stayed at the kennel one night since I would be staying at a hotel and then the next day we went to my friend Nicole's. It worked out perfect because her husband was out of town. On that Saturday, we got up early and went with a few of her friend to a flower market. It was all indoors and the flowers were amazing along with the prices! I ended up with calla lilies, purple tulips, hydrangeas, and peonies. Later on that day, we did our typical shopping in Osan purses, blankets, and of course, I had to hit up the BX/PX. I also managed to eat at Chili's three times while I was there.

The next weekend was the St Patrick’s Day Ball and I was not feeling it and I had nothing to wear so babysat for some of our friend’s kids so they could go to the ball. We had a blast and it makes to so happy to see Mia play so well with them! In addition, Mia knows that if she follows them around she can pick up food behind them!

Then time for a much-needed vacation! Guam here we come! We spend 5 days and 4 nights at the Hilton in Guam and it was beautiful! We had two days of travel and three days to hang out in Guam and on those days, all we did was relax by the pool and or beach. It was pure bliss and so wonderful to get some much needed sun! The weather was perfect eighties during the day lower seventies at night. While we were there, we got to meet up with one of Robert's old roommates from college. He and his wife and daughter were there because of everything going on in Japan, which is where he is stationed. We loved Guam, everything was in English and everyone we met spoke English. We managed to find and Outback Steakhouse so of course, we had to check it out and low and behold, it was just like being in the states blooming onion and seared ahi tuna and all!! The beaches were beautiful so I will let the pictures speak for themselves! We visited Anderson AF Base while we were there and it was amazing! On our way back we had to fly through Narita airport in Japan and while we were there waiting for our flight to board we experienced a minor tremor. Again, it breaks my heart to think about all that the country is going through. After that, it was a rude awakening when we arrived back in Korea and it was about 32 degrees.

My birthday! Since our vacation was kind of my birthday present and I just got a camera, we kept it low key! When I went back to work on my birthday one of my friends that I work with she made me a butter cake with lime curd filling. It was amazing!! I had lots of birthday goodies waiting for me on my desk. That evening my friend Tori went with Robert and me out to eat some Korean BBQ, which is my favorite!! After words, we had to clean our palettes with some gelato!! Robert ended up surprising me with a beautiful silver fossil watch with a pink face!! He is so sweet!!

We arrive back from our trip in the middle of the week and hit the deck running, last weekend I spent the majority of the weekend trying to catch up around the house so this weekend I am finally getting a chance to catch my breath and catch up on other things such as the blog and pictures! This morning I was up early to ride in a 30K bike race that took place on post. It was a little chilly starting off but other than that not too bad! I ended up finishing third in the women’s so I got a nice little medal. I do not have pictures yet but I will post them when I get them!

That is the brief version of our month of March, I am now one year older, and we are looking forward to warmer weather! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying warmer weather in the states!
