A new camera and finally we get some snow!!

We had a great Christmas day relaxing and enjoying our free time together. We did a little exploring of the city and managed to find an HDMI cable that Robert needed in order to connect the new surround sound to the TV. The day after Christmas we relaxed and hung out at the apartment the whole day! It was exactly what we needed and even better my sleep schedule is almost back to normal. I slept until 8 AM this morning and was able to stay up till almost 10 PM the night prior!

Robert bought me a Nikon D3000 camera for Christmas! It is wonderful! I just have to learn how to use it so it is going to take a little time and a lot of experimenting so bear with me on the pictures.

Today we decided to venture out in the 19 degree weather to check out one of the chapels on post. We had heard good things about the Chaplin. It was great and very rejuvenating to hear a Korean pastor that is passionate about the bible and his preaching. The congregation is small but I think it has to do with it being the holidays and people are traveling back to the states to visit family. There were about 50 people there. I am looking forward to getting involved and connected. After church we went to the PX to do a little shopping for the apartment we were in there for about 45 min and when we came out the ground was covered in SNOW! It has been lightly snowing all day! I love it! While we were at the PX we picked up a puzzle which is what we have been working on most of the today! It has been nice to do something in the apartment besides watching movies or should I say episodes of 24 (I gave Robert three seasons for Christmas)! Tomorrow we are going to do some more in processing for me and finally I am going to work out and check out the gym!

It has been almost been a week since I left Tulsa to head to Korea. The week has flown by and I am sure the next two years will fly by too! I am so thankful for advanced technology, during the past week I have been able to video chat with my family several times. Have a great week and I hope to have pictures of the apartment posted soon!

  1. Your pics look awesome!! I can't wait to see more, if you need help remember one thing : composition, this is what makes a picture/paining interesting to look at. Try for new points of perspective and different textures. This will come after you figure out the camera. Way to go!
