He Is Risen...

I am humbled and thankful that Jesus Christ came to this earth, lived, and died for us and for our sins. I am so blessed and thankful that Robert and I both live to know him as Jesus Christ and Savior of our lives and that we will live eternally with him in heaven! It never ceases to amaze me and give me goose bumps when I go back into the book of Matthew and read about the death and resurrection of Jesus, The King. That is the true meaning of this day that we celebrate called Easter. My Easter decorations are not much but it was all that I could find on sale at the PX today plus it does not help that there really is not much to choose from here.

We have enjoyed a rather relaxing first Easter Sunday in Korea. We picked up our friend Jake, went to church, picked up some items I needed for our Easter dinner, and came home. I worked on putting together our dinner while Robert made lunch and shortly after I settled in for an afternoon nap. We are having one of our new friends Jake over for dinner. He works with Robert and just arrived here about a month ago. He opted to come to Korea without his wife, who is back in the states about to give birth to a little boy! Luckily, he is going to be able to go home to be with his wife for the delivery!

Friday night, we celebrated our friend Alex’s birthday! They had a few people over to their house! I baked a birthday funfetti cake and Robert’s favorite Kahlua cake and they both turned out beautiful! Saturday, was rather low key. Robert has been feeling a little under the weather this past week so, I went to the gym for a long workout, took Mia for a long walk, cleaned house, then enjoyed dinner out with some friend, and called it an early night.

We have had a rather hectic week Robert is preparing for a big event next week here on post and I have continued my pursuit of training for a half marathon, which is now twenty days away along with attending various social events. Thursday night, I had one of the greatest abs classes! I am starting to get some regulars and everyone is really starting to loosen up and have a good time! I was laughing so hard and trying to keep on track with the workout! Yet on Friday, I was a little disappointed that I did not have anyone show up for my KidFit class. It was rather disheartening but I am going to contribute it to the beautiful weather that we had on Friday and that continued through the weekend. I am hoping it will continue into the week!

Off to finish our Easter dinner. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and never forget the reason we celebrate this season.

Below I have also included some action shots of Mia. I am working on improving this aspect of my photography skills. Thank you for your help Crystal!!
